Kevin Plank
Owner

Kevin Plank purchased Sagamore Farm in 2007. His passion for Maryland and Thoroughbred racing led him to implement a long-term restoration plan of the historic facility. His goal is to utilize Sagamore Farm as a platform to bring energy and winning back to Maryland thoroughbred racing and ultimately breed the next Triple Crown Winner.
The first win for a Sagamore Farm horse under Plank’s ownership was in 2007 by Bourbon Maid. The most notable victory to date has been Shared Account’s win at the Grade I Breeders’ Cup World Championships Filly and Mare Turf at Churchill Downs in November 2010. Sagamore Racing ranked as the #53 racing stable in the nation in 2010.
Plank is the founder of Under Armour and has served as our Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1996. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation.
